The Easiest Affiliate Programs To Promote…

Let’s be honest, it’s nice when things are easy.

We can’t always expect things to be easy, and a lot of the best things in life can’t be had without going through more difficult things first. Growing, learning, advancing… forward motion in general comes with effort. Starting a business, which is something that Young Retiree is completely centered around, comes with a lot of work. People who go into thiings like affiliate marketing expecting it to be easy never survive. Most burn out before they make their first dollar, let alone go full time or cross their first $100,000.

But good gracious is it nice when, for once in a million years, some things are easy.

That’s why I picked out these affiliate programs. These are the easiest affiliate programs to promote!

Why Are They Easy?

A lot of the things that we promote as affiliate marketers are really great products. Honestly, if you know that they AREN’T great products, or if you haven’t at least tested them to prove that they’re good products for yourself, you probably shouldn’t be promoting them in the first place.

But no matter how good a product is, it’s VERY hard to convince people to part with their money. No matter how good the investment is, no matter how many options and opportunities the investment offers, as soon as it’s time to sign on the dotted line or get out their debit cards, even the most interested readers, store visitors, and customers will quickly run for the hills.

When I first launched my Shopify store, and landed over $500 in sales within the first 10 hours of business, I was beyond excited to start promoting Shopify as an affiliate marketer. And with a minimum commission of $60 per sale (and a maxmium of over $2,000 per sale), it was a great opportunity.

Now I’m not saying Shopify promotion was bad, but it was rough. A dozen affiliate referrals came in the blink of an eye, and I just watched one free trial after another expire. Every referral gave up their store, and never continued to paid membership.

That’s why the easiest affiliate programs for promotion are the ones that offer something good completely free.

1. Ebates

Ok, this is Ebates in a nutshell. If you EVER shop online, and don’t use Ebates while doing it, you are literally throwing money away. You mind as well be taking a pile of cash, take out a lighter, and burn the whole thing in a heap in your backyard. Shopping online without Ebates is completely ridiculous.

The reason for this is because it’s a free attachment to your browser bar, and every time you shop online (from Amazon to hotel bookings), they send you a check with a little bonus money back. While this is only small amounts of money on Amazon, some of these cash back offers have paid me 50% OF THE ENTIRE COST OF MY PURCHASE in cash back, and I would have gotten none of it if I just… you know… bought it without the Ebates attachment.

Ebates is free because Ebates gets a commission from every webstore they associate with when you shop online. They get a bonus for recommending you to the store, and then they share their bonus with you.

Ebates pays you $25 every time you refer someone to them. Get just 4 signups and there’s $100. Get 40, and there’s a cool $1,000. A grand. The reason this is so easy to promote is probably pretty obvious. You’re recommending that people get something that they don’t even have to pay for. And it PAYS THEM! Even for people who don’t do much online shopping, they have nothing to lose by getting it, and the next time they buy a last minute Christmas present online, a check will show up in the mail and make their day.

Join Ebates and text a few friends the link. It’s the fastest and easiest $100 there is.

2. Ibotta

Ibotta is like Ebates in many ways. It’s a cash back app that’s super easy to use, totally free, and it pays you for groceries that YOU’RE ALREADY BUYING ANYWAY.

Ibotta pays between $5 and $25 depending on the time for referring them. And you don’t even have to bother using it to promote them. Just join it, and download the app, to start sending your link out or promoting on your social media and/or blog. I have friends who have made over $20,000 by promoting Ibotta in the last couple years.

Ibotta isn’t quite as passive as Ebates, but it pays great on even more regular expenses. I get paid cash every single week by my own Ibotta app, just by scanning a few receipts and a few barcodes of my groceries. I’ve gotten $0.25 for buying my milk, $1.00 for buying my cereal, and $2.50 just for buying my usual hair gel and migraine medication. If I’m regularly using it I can regularly put an extra $20 in my pocket every month.

It’s an even easier sell than it is to use. Your Mom, your Aunts, your friends, and whoever follows your social media and affiliate marketing platforms could all make use of it. All they need to do is need food. Non grocery shoppers need not apply.

Join the program and try it out! It’s an easy sell.

3. PaidViewpoint

Paid survey sites make people very skeptical. I get that, they make me skeptical too. In fact, I’ve wasted hours and hours on survey sites only to be paid pennies.

But after trying one horrible survey site after another, I DID eventually find a few that really paid. PaidViewpoint is one of those sites. It’s one of the few survey sites that never screens you out of surveys. So you will never run the risk of starting a survey, only to be told you don’t qualify and get no pay for your wasted time.

If you have friends or people that you promote to as an affiliate marketer, chances are that hundreds of them are looking for some ways to make a little extra cash easy. PaidVewpoint is one of the highest paying survey sites on the entire internet for referrals (possibly the highest paying of all). You can make up to $25 for every referral (as long as they actually use it). Like Ebates, only 4 referrals will get you an easy $100.

Join it in a matter of seconds and start promoting your link!

4. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is one of those money earning sites that you never stop hearing about. It seems like everyone is using it. Once you get the hang of using Swagbucks you can make a lot of money with it! Instead of doing the surveys, you can try free trials of things like Hulu and get paid for it.

Within a month of trying Swagbucks (which is always free), I was sent over $120 through PayPal just for trying a few free trials. If you use it right, it really pays!

Swagbucks is also one of the best sites to refer. I know several bloggers who make full time, 6 figure incomes just for promoting Swagbucks on their blogs. Though Swagbucks technically just pays $3 up front for each referral, they also pay you a 10% bonus on everything that your referrals make… forever.

So say each person you refer to Swagbucks brings in about $30 every month (which is easy to do, I do it myself and that’s not including referrals). You get $3 every month. The more people you refer the more it adds up. My fellow bloggers who have over 5,000 referrals to Swagbucks, for example, would be doing around $15,000 a month just on their referrals passive micro earning.

5,000 referrals might be a lofty goal, but don’t undervalue these little referral programs. Swagbucks is a stupid easy sell.

Changing The Way We Think About Marketing

Many affiliate marketers think that they’re wasting their time and efforts if they’re not promoting high ticket affiliate programs. They’re missing out on enormous earning opportunities! Many of the most successful bloggers in the world of affiliate marketing are promoting nothing EXCEPT Swagbucks and Ebates. This is because it’s extremely easy to turn the majority of your readers into sign ups. It costs them nothing. It costs you nothing. Everyone’s making money. Everyone’s happy.

Selling higher ticket items essentially requires having an emailing list. If you don’t have a solid following on email, Pinterest, and everywhere else, higher ticket sales with almost never happen. Hoping to get a high cost/high pay sale from someone just visitng your page off a Google search is like asking someone to marry you on your first date. Unless you’re watching a 50’s era Disney movie those things don’t tend to work out. And that goes for marketing too.

Try these out! You may find some easy sales coming your way. One of my business mentors told me once, if you want to make a million dollars, you just need $1 from a million people. With 3.75 billion people on the internet, there are easy sales waiting for you.

  1. Wow, I had no idea Ebates paid out 25 bucks a referral.  If the conditions are still the same then this is a no brainer.  Years ago I was paid 5 bucks a referral and made pretty good money at that.  Thank you for writing this because it has opened my eyes to a new opportunity.

    1. Yes, they’ve improved their referral program a lot! When I first joined they paid $15 per referral, and they’ve now bumped it to $25!

  2. Hi,

Thanks for sharing some great programs to start earning money with, I know there great as I have tired most of them, one of which in Swagbucks I still do. I think they pay out 15% of earnings on the main site, however they do also have their own platform where you can earn a few dollars per referral who joins via your referral link, which is cool!

I would definitely recommend these to anyone who’s just getting started as they are simple to start earning with,

    Thanks

    Josh

    1. Thanks for commenting!

Yes, Swagbucks is a good one to start with. The website currently offers $3 and 10%, but the app may have some other offerings as well.

  3. Thank you for this important review. I always want to find the person who recommend me the site which really helps me to earn money .I appreciated your 5 chosen sites which help to earn money.

I am going to try one of the five and i will tell you the feedback.

    Great work

    1. Thanks for checking out my site and reading my post!

These are some great sites for making some extra cash :). I actually got about $200 from them this week. Let me know how it goes and please feel free to ask if you need any tips or hacks!

  4. I think that this programs are really the best ones. I had a great experience with all of them except Paidviewpoind. I can say that Swagbucks is great and their referral program is awesome. Work is needed but it is definitely worth it. I recommend all people to try Swagbucks first because it is really the most simplest.

    1. I agree!

Swagbucks is the perfect and simplest place to start. That and Ebates which has one of the best referral programs in existence. I’m glad you’ve had some success with Swagbucks referral!

  5. Wow, Jordan, I did not realize Ebates worked with Amazon! I have got to check this out. I placed two orders on Amazon yesterday for things we need for our dog and for around the house. And it would be a good source of income by using their referral program. I will have to check out their terms and conditions to see what the “catch” is before signing up. Thanks for a very informative post!

    1. Hey Glen,

Thanks for dropping by! Yes, Ebates sends me a check in the mail every 3 months as cash back for my online shopping, including Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, Ebay, and pretty much everything else. You can even get money for things like website hosting through Host Gator or BlueHost.

There isn’t a catch with Ebates. They’re doing affiliate marketing. When you shop through Amazon or any of those other stores, because it’s their links they get a commission for the referral, even though it doesn’t cost you anything. Then they split their commission with you to give you incentive to shop through their links.

  6. So, I actually just downloaded Ebates and will be trying it ot soon. I have tried some of the others you have mentioned and I wasn’t impressed, I have never had any real luck with survey sites, maybe by the referral program, but I haven’t tried that yet either.

I am pretty excited about the Ebates though, thank you for that. I might have to come back and tell you how it went. Assuming that it goes well that is. Thanks again

    1. Hey, I’m glad you found it helpful!

Yes, survey sites have a pretty limited amount of usefulness. For someone whose finances are pretty tight, micro earning passively can help a lot. I cashed out almost $200 this week off of money earning sites (Swagbucks and Product Report Card). The best ones are not the survey sites, but the ones that offer product tests and free trials that they’ll pay you for. Got over $25 recently just for trying a free month of Hulu through Swagbucks.

Ebates has an exceptionally good referral program! They pay out $25 for every referral! Even if you don’t do affiliate marketing, if you get even 4 of your friends or family members to try it there’s $100 in your pocket.

  7. I absolutely love all these programs.  I’ve been doing this for a while, and I didn’t know anything about these, and they’re all free, so I signed up for all of them.  I have known about ebates, because I’ve seen a few commercials, but I didn’t really realize all the income potential these types of programs have, and how easy it would be to promote them.  Thank you so much for enlightening me on these.
